Incredible New Food Offerings at Disneyland for Pixar Fest


Pixar Fest kicks off today at the Disneyland Resort and they are offering up some “incredible” new menu items at both the Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park.


Main Street, U.S.A is the first stop when you enter the park. Here you can find some amazing treats inspired by the Disney-Pixar film Up, including Frozen Grape Soda Slush and specialty doughnuts featuring balloons and Russell’s badge sash at the Main Street Coffee Cart.

If you stop in at the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor you can try the Salted Caramel Butter Pecan Sundae with chocolate and butter pecan ice cream, topped off with salted caramel sauce, whipped cream, and candied pecans.

The Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe will be carrying Up inspired chocolate-hazelnut pastries and specialty eclairs. These will feature Carl Fredricksen and Russell’s badges.

Refreshment Corner is where you can find a new hot dog called the Pastrami Dog. This all-beef hot dog is topped with pastrami, sauerkraut, special sauce, chives, and a dill pickle spear served on an artisan bun.

The Plaza Inn (and in Disney California Adventure the Pacific Wharf Cafe and Paradise Garden Grill) will be selling slices of the Pixar Lemon-Raspberry Cake! This dessert has layers of lemon, blue vanilla, and red velvet cake with raspberry puree and cream cheese frosting, topped with a chocolate Pixar Ball.

You can also make reservations for a special dining package at the Plaza Inn! They are offering a picnic-style lunch and access to a reserved viewing area for the Pixar Play Parade.

This lunch includes your choice of: fried chicken, penne pasta with marinara, or a tossed green salad with house-ranch dressing, cheddar, beans, pickled onions and tomatoes.
The main entree is served with white cheddar mac and cheese, lemon-thyme green beans, watermelon-feta salad. Dessert is chocolate-caramel pudding.

Carnation Cafe is offerering some Carl Fredricksen-inspired dishes.  A fried bologna sandwich with bologna, toasted Pullman bread, aioli, lettuce, tomato, and pickles.

Pork Chop “TV Tray” dinner with spiced apple port chop, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, corn muffin, and molten lava cake.

Head over to Frontierland to find some Toy Story inspired items.

The Stage Door Cafe is offering house-made Berry Funnel Cakes, topped with blueberries, strawberries, chocolate cookie crumbles, crème anglaise, white chocolate and gold dusted whipped cream!

The Hungry Bear Restaurant will be offering a Strawberry Funnel Cake inspired by Buttercup the unicorn. It’s a house-made funnel cake topped with strawberry-cherry topping, strawberry butter, streusel and spice syrup drizzle.

Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante is offering Al Pastor Huarache inspired by Coco. The dish includes refried beans, al pastor-marinated pork, pineapple slaw, pasilla pepper crema, Mexican crema and queso fresco, served with pickles carrots and friend serrano chili. For dessert they are offering the Mexican Chocolate Pot de Creme.

Over in New Orleans Square Cafe Orleans is offering a three-course meal inspired by Ratatouille.

The first course is a specialty cheese plate with three cheeses, dried fruit and honeycomb. Shrimp Ratatouille Byaldi, with layered roasted zucchini, yellow squash, eggplant and tomato is the main entree. For the final course a Berry-Stuffed Beignets à la Mode with sweet brie drizzle and mascapone.

If a three course meal isn’t your thing, the Royal Street Veranda is offering Potato-Leek Soup.

Make sure you stop in Tomorrowland where the Aliens from Toy Story have taken over and made an Alien Pizza Planet restaurant. Try Cheese, Pepperoni and Vegetarian pizzas, as well as their specialty Cheeseburger Pizza. This pizza is made with ketchup, mustard, and pizza sauce on a sesame seed crust and topped with cheese (American and Cheddar,)caramelized onions, diced tomatoes, slider patties, special burger sauce and pickles!

They will also be offering Chicken Caesar Salad, Antipasto Salad, Edamame-Noodle Salad, and Green Pesto Pasta.

If you want something sweet they are offering Strawberry and Sour Apple Slushes, Alien Macarons, and Blackberry-Lime Parfaits.

Cotton Candy inspired by Finding Nemo with orange and white strips and an orange flavor (Also at Disney California Adventure.)

Town Square Churro Cart and the Churro Cart in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle will offer Lemon Churros with lemon sugar and fruity cereal.

Tomorrowland Churro Cart is featuring Strawberry Churros with strawberry sugar

Frontierland Churro Cart will have Cocoa Churros with chocolate powder, salted cinnamon sugar and Mexican chocolate dipping sauce.

Frontierland Pretzel Cart is offering a Cinnamon Pretzel

New Olreans Square Churro Cart is offering Carrot Cake Churros rolled in cinnamon sugar with raisin-carrot cream cheese frosting!

Disney California Adventure Park

If you are heading over to Disney California Adventure Park be sure to be on the look out for new Pixar Fest treats there as well.

Schmoozies is offering treats inspired by Monsters Inc., including Whoopie Pies, Marshmallow Doughnuts with marshmallow fluff filling and a Mint Chip Shake.

Award Wieners has Funnel Cake Fries topped with whipped cream and fruity cereal and a Pulled Pork Dog. The all-beef hot dog is topped with pulled pork, spicy teriyaki sauce, and fresh pineapple salsa.

If you would like another spicy dog option check out the Spicy Corn Dog at Corn Dog Castle. Inspired by The Incredibles it uses hot link sausage and Cajun chicken sausage, and pepper jack cheese. Then it’s dipped into cord dog batter and fried. Served with blackberry-serrano chile sauce and your choice of chips or apples.

Lucky Fortune Cookery, on Pacific Wharf, will be offering Chilled Noodle Salad inspired by Monster Inc. This salad features chilled iridescent noodles with “herbaceous preserved plants, sweet and spicy vinaigrette, crushed and toasted peanuts, mint, Thai basil, shredded daikon, and carrots.”

Fairfax Market and Boudin Bread Cart will also offer Monsters Inc. inspired bread that’s shaped like Mike Wazowski.

Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill has a Tres Leches Parfait with layers of vanilla cake, sweet caramel cream and rum. (you had me at rum.)

If you are over in Cars Land be sure to stop at the Cozy Cone Motel for “Choose Your Racer” Churros. There’s three colored sugars to choose from, inspired by the film Cars,  “yellow for Cruz, red for Lightning McQueen and blue for Storm.”

You can also get a Champions Corn Cup that features fresh corn, flavored mayo, cotija cheese, chili-lime spice and lime. Or the Habanero Meaball Cone with turkey meatballs in a habanero sauce with cheese crisp and spiral pasta.

If you are over by A Bug’s Land Churro Cart, you can check out an Iced Specialty Churro.  This special churro comes drizzled in doughtnut icing and dusted with cocoa cereal.

The Paradise Garden Grill is offering several items inspired by Coco. Vaporicitos, are Yucatan-inspired chicken tamales. Steamed in banana leaves and served with ranchero salsa, golden rice, and black beans.

You can also try a Mole Verde con Pollo, which is an herb-braised chicken with golden rice, black beans and corn tortillas.

The Tortitas de Papa con Queso are crispy potato cakes with Oaxaca Cheese, golden rice, ranchero salsa, and pickled onion salad.

Tacos de Estilo Callejero is a sirloin beef tacos with pickled vegetables, golden rice and black beans.

Ensalada de Frutas  is a combination of jicama, watermelon, cucumber, pineapple, and mango served with chili-lime salt and chamoy.

If you are more into sweets you can try the Tres Leches Parfait with “rum and vanilla bean Chantilly, drizzled with Dulce de Leche and garnished with a chocolate disc featuring Miguel’s loyal sidekick, Dante.”   Or try a Agua de Jamaica Slush or a Mexican Hot Chocolate.  You can also get the Pixar Lemon-Raspberry Cake here as well.
