Johnny Depp Surprises Guests as Captain Jack Sparrow on ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ in Disneyland

3

Surprise! Imagine riding the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland and instead of seeing the usual animatronic Captain Jack Sparrow you get the real thing! This is exactly what happened to Disneyland, California guests yesterday when Johnny Depp donned his Captain Jack costume and greeted riders in character.

Twitter was buzzing with videos and tweets about it.

I’m sure this is a promotional move for the new Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales film coming out on May 26th. There has recently been excitement about Keira Knightley  showing up in trailers and Will Turner possibly being a villain.  Promotion or not it was an amazing surprise to tweet to park guests! I wish he would come to Disney World, say Mid-June, and surprise guests there. You can’t help but smile when you see these video clips and feel the excitement. Congrats to those lucky enough to be there!

Pirates of the Caribbean:  Dead Men Tell No Tales will have it’s World Wide premier at Shanghai Disney Resort in China on May 11.  It will premier in the United States on May 26th.
