Lots of New ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story Merchandise is Showing Up at Disney Parks

It’s almost time for Solo: A Star Wars Story to hit theaters. We will probably be going on Thursday night, but it officially opens on Friday, May 25.

Of course you can’t have Star Wars without all the cool new merchandise to go with it. I mean Star Wars and “awesome merch” go together like peanut butter and jelly.

There are some great new items out, and some are Disney park exclusive. Cody Hampton, Senior Merchandiser with Merchandise Strategy and New Park Experiences Development mentioned this:

“Guests of all ages can celebrate beloved characters and new adventures from this highly-anticipated film with a fantastic cross-category assortment of products, several of which were created especially for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts.”

Let’s take a look at what’s been developed.

First up we have the Droid Factory action figure set.

It features the astromechs (like R2-D2) that will be shown in the new Solo film. Plus a figure set from the new film is also available ($14.95).

There will also be graphic t-shirts, hats, jackets, and more available for people who want to grab some Star Wars to wear.

We are big pin collectors here and there are new pins that don’t disappoint!

There are two new retail MagicBands for the new film at Walt Disney World.

An open edition Han Solo and Chewbacca MagicBand 2 ($22.99) and a limited release Lando Calrissian MagicBand 2 ($27.99).

There’s also a great new Chewbacca travel water bottle ($16.95).

I’m glad to see some of the great new movie tie in items. The stores near me aren’t carrying much Solo merchandise. We just went to see what was out a couple of days ago and there is barely anything on the shelves. But, thankfully, it looks like you can get some great pieces at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.  You can also get them on ShopDisney.com and the Shop Disney Parks app.

What do you think of the new merchandise? Are you going to buy some? Comment and let us know!
