During the winter months I absolutely LOVE drinking hot chocolate morning, noon, and night. I’m not a coffee drinker so I overindulge in this hot drink especially during the holiday season. One of my absolute favorite things to do during this time of year is grab a steaming cup of cocoa and walk down Main Street U.S.A. at Disneyland and just take in all the beautiful glittering lights and the holiday decorations. When I’m not at the park, I also love to homemake hot cocoa and cuddle up on the couch with a good holiday movie (my favorites being Beauty and the Beast: Enchanted Christmas or Frozen 2). There’s all sorts of fun recipes to use, but Disney recently shared a new recipe called Anna’s Hot Cocoa Blizzard! Sounds really yummy right?
Here is the recipe!
Ingredients
- 4 cups of milk
- 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- Chopped Chocolate Bar
- Whipped Cream

Directions:
- Gather cocoa powder, milk, and sugar
- Over medium heat, whisk mixture until warm (but not boiling)
- Add chopped chocolate bar and whisk until it melt smoothly
- Pour into your favorite mug and top with whipped cream

Mmm the chocolate bar is what makes this recipe unique and extra chocolaty. This is the perfect treat to quickly whip up with the family for a movie night, date night, or even just for some you time. What makes it extra fun is that it’s Anna’s recipe!
Happy sipping Insiders!
