This afternoon Marvel Studios posted five new Avengers: Infinity War posters in a series of tweets on Twitter.
Each poster is color coded, perhaps to “match” one of the “found” Infinity Gems?
The first poster is done in red to possibly represent the Reality Stone(Aether?)

We saw this stone used in Thor: Dark World, and it was left with “The Collector.”
The next poster is color coded green perhaps for the Time Stone?

This stone was left with Doctor Strange, yet he doesn’t appear in this poster.
The third poster features the color blue. It could be for the Space Stone?

The Space Stone was located in the Tesseract. We saw this in both Captain America: The First Avenger and the Avengers film. It was last seen with Thor being taken to Asgard for safe keeping.
Yellow is the color wash of the fourth poster possibly for the Mind Stone (Loki’s Scepter and Vision?)

Currently the Mind Stone is part of Visions forehead.
The final poster is shaded purple. Most likely to represent the Power Stone (Orb)

This stone was featured in the first Guardians of the Galaxy film. At the end of the movie it was left under the protection of the Nova Corps.
So that still leaves one stone missing. The Soul Stone.
We still don’t know exactly where this final stone is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although in the comics it’s been associated with Adam Warlock, who was teased at the end of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 film.
It’s also been connected to the Silver Surfer, and recently, there’s been a rumor about him appearing in the new Avengers film. Hopefully we will be shown where the missing stone is with the upcoming film.
In the meantime, we can try to decipher if there’s any meaning behind why certain characters appear on each poster.
There are five Avengers featured on the posters: Iron Man, Black Widow, Captain America, Scarlet Witch, and Thor.
Perhaps it could be more about the character focus than stone color. But, we have to ask why are certain characters pictured with those five instead of others? One could argue that the five featured Avengers are pictured with other characters from their story line. But then why Thor and the Guardians? And again, if the Guardian characters are on the poster with Thor, why are Nebula and Mantis on the poster for the Space Stone with Captain America?
Hopefully we will get answers soon.
Avengers: Infinity War will be released on April 27.
Only a month to go!
