Big news for Walt Disney World transportation! Two major Disney World transportation companies announced a merger this week: the Sunshine Flyer and Mears Connect. The new name will be “Mears Connect Driven by Sunshine.” These two companies have been top competitors in transporting guests to and from Walt Disney World from MCO; however, due to their similar goals, both companies decided that by coming together, they could expand services and provide an even better guest experience.
Mears Connect Driven by Sunshine will be the only transportation company that provides service 24 hours a day for departures and arrivals at all terminals at Orlando Airport (MCO). This will be a fantastic service for those guests arriving late at night and early morning. Mears Connect Driven by Sunshine will start operating on August 1. Currently, they are offering a summer sale-$12 per child and $15 per adult for standard service.
Mears Connect guests will not be impacted, and if you have a current reservation, it will stay the same. If you have a future reservation with the Sunshine Flyer, you will receive updated travel information if your reservation is impacted.
