The art of storytelling, something Disney has perfected, is not lost on its latest creation, The Gran Destino Tower at The Coronado Springs Resort. The story behind the new tower is based on the 7-minute film […]
It’s been two days since my return from Walt Disney World. Unlike other trips, I was there for 24 hours and got to sleep in a hotel room that no one in Disney history had slept in. I was one of the fortunate few […]
If there’s one thing I learned while taking our children to Walt Disney World it’s that people will always have an opinion, especially when they think your kids are too young. I always hear things like, they […]
In the past month, Walt Disney World has made a lot of announcements that have us giving the Mouse some serious side eye. As a Florida resident, who’s also a Silver Passholder, the price increases didn’t affect me […]
Being a Disney family, it was never a question to me where my boys would be getting their first haircuts. Each of my boys was over a year old when they had their first haircuts and if I did it at home, it would’ve […]
I don’t know who invented the term, “the struggle is real,” but I’m confident it was a mom. It was probably a mom who felt judged and was most likely at the end of her rope. Or maybe it was a mom who woke up and […]
It’s no secret that Universal Resort Orlando caters to families with older kids. That’s not to say, I wouldn’t bring my small children there. I spent three days walking around Universal’s three theme parks and was […]
I’m fresh off a 3-day stay at Universal Resort Orlando. Yes, the girl who wouldn’t look twice at any other park other than Walt Disney World, spent 3 nights at Universal. The only part of Disney I saw was way off […]
As far as I’m concerned, Walt Disney is the greatest storyteller of our time. Walt’s (and, by extension, the Disney Company’s) expertise for storytelling should be obvious: any parent who has dragged their screa […]
The Summer season is upon us and you can now take advantage of Walt Disney World’s newest ticket offer- The Summer One World Ticket.
Guests can purchase the Summer One World Ticket and experience the resort’s f […]
Today is Global Running Day and I thought it would be the perfect time to discuss all things runDisney. Trust me when I say that runDisney is unlike any other race you have ever been in. Having been in the […]
Although Walt Disney World is made for families, I’m a huge advocate for doing Disney with your spouse. Whether it’s a long weekend without your kids, a date night on your family vacation, or in […]
Hi Jason- First of all, thank you for taking the time to read my post! My kids are 4 and 5 years old. I know that there were children of ages 9-11 there when my kids were. I can’t speak to what happens when all the kids are together, but I did see some of the older kids being picked up with different types of crafts and things they had done than my little guys. I think they have age appropriate things for older kids, as well as younger ones, during the experience. Let me know if you decide to place your children. I strongly suggest it. I also love Disney date nights so let me know if you have any questions about that!
Hi Katie- so happy you signed your boys up for it! They will love it. They do not have any photo pass pictures taken during the event. I wish that was something they did, but I could see where it might become a privacy issue with other kids there. I hope you and your husband have an extra magical time too, I love the few moments I can spend with just my husband there.
Kristi DeRubertis wrote a new post, REVIEW – Disney’s After Hours at Hollywood Studios 2 months ago
When Disney Parks announced their After Hours Events, I was quick to judge the extra- ticketed event. Although Disney still has extra magic hours, they’ve become less of a focus, and it seems as though the focus […]
It was Mother’s Day, and the last day of our weekend in Walt Disney World. We had a wonderful few days at Disney’s Yacht Club, and although we were traveling home that afternoon, we decided to get up and take a […]
My husband and I are the quintessential Disney couple. When we were dating, it was all about vacationing there. When we got married, there was no other place we wanted to honeymoon, than Walt Disney World.
Over the course of 33 years, you get the opportunity to stay at most of the resorts on Walt Disney World property. Any Disney traveler will tell you that a lot goes into picking which resort they hope to stay […]
Effective today, Walt Disney World has now implemented new designated smoking areas, which are located just outside the gates at each of its 4 parks.
New Designated Smoking Areas
