Genie+ is about to get a whole lot more magical! Disney has announced they are adding characters to the service, and we could not be more excited! Starting Jan. 26, Guests will find select Character Sightings have been added as selections for Lightning Lane entry with purchase of Disney Genie+ service (the purchase of Disney Genie+ service is available in addition to standby entrance).
Here are some of the characters that have been added to Genie+:
Magic Kingdom:
- Cinderella and a visiting Princess at Princess Fairytale Hall
- Princess Tiana and a visiting Princess at Princess Fairytale Hall
- Mickey at Town Square Theater
Hollywood Studios:
- Olaf at Celebrity Spotlight
Lines for characters can get pretty long with everyone so eager to take pictures and meet and greet with characters. Adding characters to the Genie+ service is fantastic because this now allows Guests who purchase Genie+ for their day at the parks to maximize their time so they can fit more into their day! It also helps spread lightning lane availability across more attractions at the parks.
We hope that this is just the start of Disney adding characters to the Disney+ and that more will be added soon!
