Disney’s Riviera isn’t the only new luxury resort coming to Walt Disney World.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, plans have been filed for a second JW Marriott in the Orlando area. It calls for the new hotel to be located on a 10 acre parcel southeast of Epcot and near Wyndam’s Bonnet Creek Resort. The property is owned by DCS Investments of West Palm Beach.
DCS plans a 516-room hotel, at 16 stories, with 50,000 square feet of meeting space, a rooftop bar and signature restaurant. Randall Greene of DCS declined to comment on the plan. The company obtained $240 million financing from the Bank of the Ozarks.
Engineering firm Kimley Horn filed the plans on Monday, which identified the project as the JW Marriott at Bonnet Creek.
