New Pirates of the Caribbean Auction Scene with Redhead Revealed From Disneyland Paris

It appears that Disneyland Paris Annual Passholders got an early preview of the new Pirates of the Caribbean ride including the controversial changes to the red-head scene and the Barbossa animatronic.

The ride actually looks very good overall.  The redhead scene is at around the 4:15 mark in the video.

(video from Radio Disney Club on Youtube)

The scene looks about the same, just the characters have different clothes and I’m sure the dialogue is different. The pirate isn’t hanging his foot over the bridge. I don’t know if it works though. It looks like the pirates are cowering (because that’s what the women did originally) which seems kind of weird.

Then there is the new Barbossa animatronic at around the 6:40 mark. It looks really good!

The ride will open to the public at Disneyland Paris on July 24th.

What do you think of the new “auction” scene? How about Barbossa?  Comment below and let us know!
