According to Orange County Government and under their new stay-at-home order, the earliest Disney World will be able to reopen is 11 p.m. on April 9, 2020.
Orange County government confirmed Thursday Disney is included in the order that adds amusement rides and water parks to a list of non-essential businesses that must temporarily stop running for the next two weeks.
It’s been two days since Universal Orlando Resort made the call to remain closed through April 19th and will continue paying part-time, full-time, and employees on salary. All of us have anticipated a similar announcement from Walt Disney World, but have heard nothing but silence. We can expect an announcement will be made today or tomorrow. However, common sense tells us it will be at least until April 9th.
