Next time you are at Disneyland you may notice there is construction all along the waterfront by Harbour Galley. We are happy to report that this is because waterfront seating will soon be available at Disneyland! I personally love sitting by the water as it’s so peaceful, especially during the warm summer days. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a meal while watching Guests canoe around the Rivers of America or watching the baby ducks swim after their mom in the calm ripples of the water. Currently the only true waterfront dining and seating area Disneyland offers is Hungry Bear restaurant, so this will be a great new addition to the park.
Disney officials have stated that Pelican’s Landing will be a multi-level seating location for Guests not only ordering from Harbour Galley, but also for those Guests who just need to sit down and take a break from adventuring through the park. The new seating area will be located across from the Haunted Mansion, right next to Harbor Galley.
Harbor Galley has been a fan-favorite for years and years, but the major complaint has always been that there is hardly any seating around to enjoy the food from this dining spot. Disney has heard the complaints, and they are delivering!
If you aren’t familiar with Harbor Galley, it is a small quick-service spot located in right in Critter County along the waterside. They serve lunch and dinner with some really good seafood options. Their most popular menu items include the Clam Chowder Bread Bowls (Broccoli and Cheddar Soup also available) and the Lobster Roll. You can view their full list of menu and seasonal options here.
There is no official opening date yet however they do expect it to be open by the time holiday magic will return to Disneyland which begins November 12 and runs through January 9. We absolutely can’t wait grab a bread bowl and enjoy the new waterfront Pelican’s Landing seating area!
