Will there be a sixth Pirates of the Caribbean movie, and if so, when will Pirates 6 come out?
The fifth Pirates movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, was released in May of 2017. While the film introduced the next generation of characters, it could have also ended the series there and would feel complete. However, a post-credits scene at the end of Pirates 5 seemed to indicate that this is just the beginning of a new adventure as Davy Jones seems to be returning to exact his revenge.

But will there actually be a Pirates 6, or is it just wishful thinking on the part of series fans?
Looking at the numbers…
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales was not as big of a hit in the United States as previous installments. In fact, it only made $172 million domestic.
However, the film was absolutely huge in international markets like China, and its global take was close to $800 million.
Franchises like Pirates of the Caribbean show just how important the global box office is for movie studios in this day and age, and why so many tentpole films open overseas before they do in the United States.
Jerry Bruckheimer has stated that a sixth movie may very well depend on home video sales of Pirates 5.
Looking solely at financials, I think a sixth Pirates movie has a 50/50 chance.. even if the fifth movie was a bit of a disappointment for Disney. But when will it happen?
There’s been no official announcement of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 6’.
Since there’s been no announcement of a sixth Pirates movie, we simply have to piece together whatever scraps of information come our way on the internet.
Originally, the fifth and sixth Pirates of the Caribbean movies were supposed to shoot back to back, but that plan was scrapped early on. However, there have been some signs of life in recent months.
Joachim Rønning, the director of Dead Mean Tell No Tales, has reportedly been eyed to direct a sequel.

Kaya Scodelario, who plays Carina Smyth in Dead Men Tell No Tales, has said that she’s been given an option to reprise her role in a potential sixth Pirates film. So that seems to bode well for the franchise.
However, it should be noted that even Scodelario is unsure of the series’ future.
According to an interview with ScreenRant…
“I think it would be a lot of fun to go back. It was an amazing experience to shoot […] so many people all watch it and find joy in it – it crosses generations. People enjoy these movies and […] people still want to see them. I think it’s important that we make sure it’s good and if people want it and we can find the right script, I’d love to be a part of it. But as of now, I haven’t heard anything.”
Of course, a sixth Pirates of the Caribbean film would completely depend on whether or not Captain Jack himself, Johnny Depp, would even be on board. He’s said before that the fifth film felt like a coda for the character, and Dead Men Tell No Tales has been marketed as “The Final Adventure.”
If Pirates 6 should get the greenlight, it still could be a long wait. Given the lengthy gap between Pirates 4 and 5, it’s likely that we wouldn’t see a sixth Pirates movie until 2020 or 2021 at the earliest.
In the meantime, there’s more for Pirates fans…
While the future of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies may be up in the air for now, the franchise chugs along in other media.
The Pirates of the Caribbean: Tides of War online game just got a massive update this month, and the attraction that started it all is getting a major overhaul in Disney Parks next year.
Clearly, there’s more in store for the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

Eagerly awaiting the Pirates 6 announcement
I agree with you!
You know in a trivia says Johnny Depp already signed the movie without seeing the script especially Geoffrey Rush is also predicted to return. 2 spoilers says Davy Jones is rumored to return and his to be voice by someone different and Angelica is also predicted to return too.
In a Comic Vine says the story might be about Wraith of the Seas.

Comment:THIS MOVIE IS GOING TO BE A ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER IF JACK’S SON OR DAUGHTER WILL BE IN MOVIE(IN 4TH MOVIE ANGELIGA TOLD IN END THAT SHE IS GOING TO BECOME MOTHER OF HIS CHILD) JUST WANT TO SEE SMALL JACK SPARROW.
Are we sure Davy Jones is coming back? After all, given the ending, that post-credit scene could have been meant to warn Will Turner to look out for Carina, maybe because the Flying Dutchman has a new captain by name of… BARBOSSA!?
Comment: I also agree with you
