Halloween season at Disneyland Resort is filled with spooky decorations, festive treats, seasonal entertainment, and plenty of magical surprises. But if you’re looking for an extra activity the whole family can enjoy together, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is back for Halloween 2026.
This festive scavenger hunt sends guests on a pumpkin-filled adventure throughout Disneyland Resort as they help Pluto track down 13 playful pumpkins inspired by favorite Disney characters. The best part? You don’t have to be an expert pumpkin hunter to enjoy the experience.
What Is Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit?
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt taking place now through October 31, 2026, or while supplies last.
Guests purchase a map and sticker sheet, then explore Disneyland Resort in search of 13 decorative pumpkins inspired by Disney characters. When you find a pumpkin, simply match it with the correct sticker and place it on your map.
Think of it as a Disney scavenger hunt with a Halloween twist—and an excuse to slow down and explore parts of the parks you might otherwise walk right past.
How to Join Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit
Joining the fun is simple:
- Purchase a map and sticker sheet for $11.99 plus tax at a participating merchandise location.
- Search for the 13 Disney character-inspired pumpkins throughout the resort.
- Place the matching stickers on your map as you discover each pumpkin.
- Redeem your completed—or even incomplete—map for a festive keepsake.
Yes, you read that correctly: you can redeem your map for the keepsake even if you don’t find all 13 pumpkins.
So whether your family is determined to track down every single pumpkin or you’d rather enjoy the hunt casually between rides, snacks, and attractions, you can still take home a Halloween souvenir.

You can make the hunt the main event—or simply turn it into a fun side quest while exploring the parks.
Either way, one map equals one keepsake.
Why Families Love Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit
Disneyland days can move fast. Between Lightning Lane reservations, dining plans, ride wait times, parades, and trying to experience everything on your vacation wish list, it’s easy to rush from one attraction to the next.
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit gives families a reason to slow down and look around. Kids get the excitement of searching for hidden pumpkins, adults get to enjoy discovering themed details around the resort, and everyone has a fun activity they can work on together throughout the day. It’s also a great option for families traveling with guests who may not enjoy thrill rides, because everyone can participate regardless of age.
Important Things to Know Before You Go
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit runs from August 21 through October 31, 2026, or while supplies last.
The experience is subject to cancellation or change without notice, including changes to dates, keepsakes, and pricing. Purchase limits may also apply.
If you’re participating inside Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, remember that valid theme park admission and a theme park reservation for the same park on the same day are required for entry. Reservations are limited, subject to availability, and not guaranteed.
Because maps and keepsakes are available only while supplies last, guests visiting during the Halloween season may want to purchase their map earlier in their vacation rather than waiting until the last day.
Add Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit to Your Disneyland Halloween Adventure
Whether you’re visiting Disneyland Resort for a weekend getaway or planning a full Halloween vacation, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is an easy way to add another layer of fun to your trip. You can hunt for pumpkins between attractions, make it a friendly family competition, or simply enjoy spotting as many as you can throughout your Disney day. And even if you don’t find all 13, you’ll still leave with a festive keepsake to remember your Halloween adventure.
