This year marks the 10th Anniversary for the Disney Wine & Dine Marathon Weekend! RunDisney has just unveiled a look at the race themes for this event!
Disney Fall Fest 5K
This year the theme is The Jungle Book! Participants will receive a tech shirt as well as a finisher medal.
The Wine and Dine 10K
This run will be inspired by Olaf and Sven from Frozen.
The Wine and Dine Half Marathon
This race has a theme of the “spirit of America” with classic Mickey in his patriotic ensemble. (I love this one!)
The 2 Course Challenge
This run that combines both the 10K and the Half Marathon will feature Three Caballeros! Spots for this run are limited so contact your travel agent or runDisney quickly.
2019 runDisney Kids Races presented by GoGo squeeZ® Applesauce
Inspired by Timon and Pumbaa there are races by age for kids up to age 13.
The 10th runDisney Wine and Dine will take place at the Walt Disney World Resort from October 31 – November 3, 2019. Bibs and package are available. You really should try to do one of these at least once! They are so much fun.
Special Party for Participants and their Families:
This event offers a special party for the participants and their families:
New to this year, participants of both the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon and Disney Two Course Challenge can celebrate a race well-run during the weekend-exclusive Post-Race Party with an earlier entry time! Experience all the excitement of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival beginning at 5pm. After-hours fun, including special 10th Anniversary entertainment and rare characters, will begin at 10 p.m. Half Marathon and Challenge participants can invite their friends and family to join the fun with a purchase of a ticket here.
If you are interested in participating but are worried about not being a runner, don’t worry about it! The 5K is un-timed and people of all kinds of athletic levels participate. It’s family friendly as well!
Also, during this time frame is the Extra Extra Morning Magic where resort guest can get into the Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and the Animal Kingdom super early. Guests arriving a bit earlier can still catch Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party too! The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is also going on during this time!
