With every new season at the Disney Parks comes new seasonal food, and we are, of course, ecstatic to try all the Halloween food and treats for the 2024 spooky season! During my recent trip to Disneyland Park, I was able to try some of the new Halloween-themed items, so check out my review below to see what you should try and skip during your visit!
Note: I will update this review as I try more things in the next month, so keep checking back for more reviews!
Philly Potato Dog (Refreshment Corner)
Baked Potato topped with an All-Beef Hot Dog, thinly-sliced Beef, Peppers, Pepperoncini, Provolone and Cherry Spread
The Potato dogs have been quite the hit at Disneyland this past year, and this one is no exception. This is a fantastic, hearty little meal full of flavor and fresh ingredients. You can taste every single ingredient, and nothing overpowers anything else. It has several different textures, and there are the perfect ratios of each ingredient. This one is definitely a 10/10!

Transylvania Transfusion (Harbour Galley)
Dark Berry and Cherry Punch, garnished with Fresh Berries
This is probably the best seasonal Halloween punch I’ve had at the park. It’s extremely refreshing and not too sugary, and the two punches mix very well together. I especially loved that this drink has lots of berries in it! This one is a winner, especially since it’s still pretty hot out, so I definitely recommend giving this one a try!

Hazelnut Brownie Tart with Chocolate Frosting (Jolly Holiday)
Hazelnut Spread and Brownie Filling topped with Chocolate Frosting and Sprinkles
This treat has been quite popular so far this season among guests. If you’re a chocolate lover, it’s a fun one to try. I think that the filling was quite thin for how thick the chocolate frosting is, so the frosting overpowers the brownie quite a bit. Nonetheless, it’s a good chocolaty treat, and it’s a good portion size.

Pear Blackberry Cheesecake Crostata (Jolly Holiday)
Fresh Pears with New York Cheesecake and Blackberry Jam in Pie Crust, topped with Caramel
This is a pretty great fall dessert; however, I was not able to taste any of the cheesecake or the caramel drizzle. The pears and blackberry jam stole the show on this little treat, but those flavors alone made this one pretty delicious!

Jack-O’-Lantern Mickey Pumpkin Macaron (Jolly Holiday)
Pumpkin Macaron Shell filled with Caramel Buttercream and Pumpkin Cheesecake
Calling all pumpkin lovers! Our time of the year is here, and this is the perfect dessert item to kick off the season! This delicate little pumpkin macaron is silky, light, and full of the perfect ratio of caramel buttercream and pumpkin cheesecake. The pumpkin is pretty strong in this, so if you’re not a fan of the flavor, I would opt for something else.

Toontown Fall Harvest Pumpkin Iced Tea (Cafe Daisy)
Sweet Tea with Vanilla and Pumpkin Spice Syrup, Whipped Topping, Caramel Drizzle and Cinnamon Sugar
Mix this one up real well…and mic drop! I am still blown away by how good this iced tea was! The pumpkin flavor is very light, and what really puts this one over the top is the caramel and cinnamon sugar bits you get in each sip. This delightful drink just screams fall, and I already can’t wait to get back and get another one of these. If you’re not a fan of pumpkin, this one is really light, but you may prefer to go for another spooky beverage such as the Transylvania Fusion (reviewed above); for all my pumpkin lovers, run, don’t walk to get this one!

Blueberry Corn Dog (Little Red Wagon)
Hand-dipped Corn Dog, Blueberry Compote and Bacon Powdered Sugar
This little treat has been the talk of the town ever since it was announced in the Foodie Guide. So many guests were comparing it to the popular Monte Cristo sandwich (my all-time fav!), so naturally, I had to give this one a try. The corn dog and the blueberry compote do work really well together and the whole thing is so flavorful. My only critique is that the bacon powdered sugar makes it a bit too much; they could have just dusted it with plain powdered sugar and that would have been great. Overall, this is a great snack item and a fun try!

Spicy Chicken Cordon BOO (Red Rose Tavern)
Fried Chicken Filet seasoned with Four-Chile Spice, Pickle Aïoli, Pickle Chips, Prosciutto, and Swiss Cheese on a Toasted Brioche-style Bun, with Cuties® Mandarin Oranges or Taverne Potato Bites
Ok, this sandwich may not look like much, but WOW, it is packed with flavor and texture. It’s really not too spicy, so if you’re sensitive to spice this one should be just fine for you. The aïoli mixed with the spices and the pickle chips…it’s just so good; it’s my favorite non-dessert item I’ve tried so far this Halloween season. I couldn’t really taste the prosciutto very much, but it didn’t matter because there were so many other flavors going on. If you love a good chicken sandwich, this is one to try!
Muensters, Inc. Sliders (Lamplight Lounge Boardwalk Dining)
Smashed Burger Patties, Muenster Cheese, Anaheim Chile, House Chipotle Sauce, Candied Bacon, House Pickles and Crispy Onions on a Peppered Brioche Bun, served with House Kettle Chips
The sliders are a bit bready, but the filling is delicious! I could hardly taste the muenster cheese, but the candied bacon, chiles, onion, and pickles made these delightful little sliders. The house chips are really delicious, and it doesn’t list it in the ingredients, but I’m fairly certain they are drizzled with hot honey!

Halloween Cocktail (Lamplight Lounge Boardwalk Dining)
Frangelico, Orange Juice, Vanilla Vodka, Butterscotch Syrup, Almond Orgeat Syrup and Angostura Bitters
Once you stir this one up a bit, it tastes like Halloween in a glass! It’s not overly strong, and the butterscotch syrup is delicious. This isn’t too sugary either and goes well with the sliders!

Lava Cake (Clarabelle’s)
Warm Chocolate Lava Cake topped with a Scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream, Fresh Berries and Strawberry Sauce
I adore lava cake, but unfortunately, I am a bit disappointed with this one. The cake is very thin, and there is hardly any chocolate lava in the center. The vanilla ice cream scoop is so large that it overwhelms the cake. The fresh berries are delicious with the cake, but I am not a fan of the strawberry sauce.
