Cars Land at Disney California Adventure is quite an impressive area with such attention to detail. Imagineers stayed true to the themes all around every corner and every nook and cranny, every attraction, every shop, every dining area, etc. You’ll have so much fun exploring Cars Land that you are sure to need some refueling after all the fun in the sun! One extremely delicious spot to stop and refuel is at Flo’s V8 Cafe (yes, it looks like just from the movie!). It’s basically right in the middle of Cars Land, and with its big flashy neon sign, we promise you can’t miss it!

Flo’s V8 Cafe is quite possibly one of the cutest themed dining areas at California Adventure. It’s a Route 66-inspired diner that serves up some classic American comfort food with a new spin. Nostalgic and novel at the same time, Flo’s sports all kinds of automotive touches that put you inside the Disney•Pixar Cars movies while transporting you to a simpler time, from vintage-style gas pumps to tailpipe light fixtures to 2-toned tuck-and-roll upholstered banquettes! This joint has plenty of seating both out front, outside (facing Radiator Springs Racers), and inside.
The cafe serves lunch and dinner, and they have something for everyone. I ate there for the first time in a long time recently and chose one of their most popular items, Flo’s Fried Chicken. For $18.99, you get three big pieces of chicken, a heaping portion of potatoes and gravy, and steamed seasoned veggies (carrots and broccoli). From the first bite, I was in love! The chicken was super tender and juicy, the skin was crispy, the potatoes were creamy, and the gravy was heaven. Now I’m like a little kid and never have been a huge fan of eating vegetables, but I will say I did try the veggies, and they were cooked perfectly, so I got a few bites of those in (LOL!). I was completely stuffed by the end of my meal, so I will say this plate is shareable if you’re not starving.

Of course, you all know I love my dessert, so I ordered a Flo’s Classic Strawberry Shake (they also come in Vanilla and Chocolate). The thing that sets this milkshake apart from other ones you may find in the parks is these milkshakes are topped off with Road Gravel (aka crushed Oreos). It’s such a simple topping, but my oh my, it made it so much more delicious!

Other mouth-wateringly good menu items include the Ka-Cheeseburger, Ramone’s Low and Slow Club, Cobb de Ville Salad, the Impossible Burger, and more! They also service alcoholic beverages and have plenty of allergy-friendly options. Next time you’re in Disney California Adventure, and you have a hankering for some good eatin’, be sure to put in your mobile order or put your wheels in line over at Flo’s V8 Cafe!
