Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday at Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure for many reasons. One of those reasons is because all the spooky treats make their grand debut and some of them look just too perfect to eat! I have a big sweet tooth and so in a way it’s disappointing that are so many Halloween-themed food and treats to try because I just can’t try them all. Since the Halloween season hit at the parks I have made it a point to try as many themed food and treats as I could to let all you Insiders know which ones are really worth trying for yourself.
Here are the ones I have tried so far at Disney’s California Adventure this Halloween season:
Worms, Dice, & Everything Nice
This alcoholic beverage at Hollywood Lounge is by far my favorite Halloween-themed beverage that I have tried at the parks. Normally alcoholic beverages taste pretty strong to me at the parks but this one was perfect and not overwhelming. It had fantastic flavors and the drink consists of Midori, Peach Schnapps, Crème de Menthe, and Orange and Pineapple juice. It a delicious fruity concoction that is topped off with gummy worms and light up Oogie Boogie dice. My only dislike with the drink is that the gummy worms were pretty hard, otherwise I strongly recommend this spooky drink for adults!
Oogie Boogie Macaron
Ok so the Oogie Boogie Macaron at Fiddler, Fifer, & Practical Bakery Cafe is also my favorite treat I’ve tried this year. If you love chocolate and gummy worms you can’t go wrong with this. Not only is the Oogie Boogie design on the actual cookie absolutely amazing, the taste is out of this world! The black macaron is filled with green apple buttercream, caramel, brownies, Oreo cookie dust and gummy worms. I’m not normally a huge fan of green apple flavoring but trust me when I say that alllll these flavors together are spooktacularly amazing!
Spicy Chicken and Fries

The spicy chicken and steak fries are a season item over at Flo’s V8 Cafe. This was not my favorite thing that I have tried but if you like spicy chicken and you like fries, you can’t go wrong with this! I normally like thin fries, like shoestring fries, so the steak fries seemed a little thick for me but they were good. I also normally like buffalo sauce and the sauce on these are a spicy mango habanero sauce (they were also drizzled with ranch dressing) but it was good flavoring. They were a tad spicy though (which I love!) so if you are sensitive to spice you might want to steer away from these.
Halloween Candy Funnel Cake Fries
The Halloween Candy Funnel Fries at Award Weiners are a very sugary treat and while the plate looks somewhat small they are for sure shareable! I was able to share them with a friend and we had a hard time finishing them off because there is so much going on with these and it is quite a bit of sugar on one plate. I do prefer the fries to the actual funnel cake because I feel like it is less messy and easier to eat. These funnel fries are piled with crushed Oreo cookies, cream cheese sauce, cookie pieces, gummy worms, chocolate m&ms, and candy corn. Like I said…very yummy but a whole lot of sugar!
There are a whole lot more treats to try over at Disneyland, so keep an eye out next weekend for my review of Halloween-themed treats at the other park! What’s your favorite Halloween food and treat over at Disney’s California Adventure?!
