RUMORS – Adoptable Porgs, Leaked Concept Art for Disney ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Attraction?

Move over, Banshees.

Adoptable Porgs might be the hottest toy in Disney Parks come 2019. Well, if a rumor being spread by an alleged Imagineer on Instagram is to be believed, that is.

According to YouTuber Mickey Views, a Disney Imagineer has been teasing images of what are supposed to be adoptable, interactive Porgs (those puffin-like creatures from The Last Jedi.)

Here are some screen grabs of what was supposedly official Disney concept art posted on Instagram.

And here is an alleged photo of the Porgs having a cup of Joe.

Now, there is a disclaimer in the video that Instagram account is (understandably) private, and it’s expected that some people won’t believe them.

However, the Porgs in the coffee pic look an awful lot like the recent interactive Porgs from Hasbro. Perhaps they are, and they were just used to show off the concept?

I have to admit that I’m curious how such sensitive Disney info made it online in the first place, should it be true. Disney employees usually have to sign ironclad NDAs, and there will certainly be some repercussions should the alleged leaker be found.

Here’s the video in its entirety…

Also, from the same source, Mickey Views has posted another video showing what is allegedly concept art from the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy coaster in Epcot.

And again, here is a video explaining the concept art in more detail…

Again, readers should make up their own minds as to the authenticity of the artwork. But it seems to be an awful lot of effort for a hoax, so it could be legit. That’s a keyboard from a newer Mac and some pretty expensive design markers, which would be pretty consistent with anyone working on a project like this.

I suppose we’ll find out once Disney begins making more official announcements about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the Guardians of the Galaxy coaster.
