Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley announced the next Star Wars: Force For Change fundraising initiative earlier today on Good Morning America. Participants are eligible to win several once-in-a-lifetime Star Wars experiences such as a trip to Skywalker Ranch, a cameo in the upcoming Han Solo prequel film and the chance to attend the premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi with Daisy Ridley and the rest of the cast.
The announcement on GMA was pretty humorous, with Mark Hamill teasing Daisy Ridley about how she has never been to Skywalker Ranch herself.
The fundraiser is in conjunction with Omaze and benefits Unicef and the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
While this likely isn’t the “huge” announcement that many fans were waiting for (i.e. the first trailer for The Last Jedi) it’s a great cause, and the prize packages are amazing. It’s highly likely that the trailer for The Last Jedi will premiere at Star Wars Celebration this weekend.
