One month ago to the day, I had the pleasure of dining at Bice, located in the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I got off the water taxi and saw the beautiful Christmas Tree in the Harbor and walked up the stairs into the restaurant, the ambiance transported me to a world of elegance and charm.
The menu offered a delightful array of dishes that catered to a variety of tastes. Each bite was a burst of flavors, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chefs at Bice. The presentation was impeccable, turning each dish into a work of art. Here is what I ordered and would recommend time and time again:
- Tortelloni Ricotta & Spinaci
- Monthly Special – Paccheri
- Panettone Bread Pudding
- Torta Al Cioccolato
Insider Tip: You can order half portions of any pasta! Just ask your server.
The service was exceptional, with a staff that was not only attentive but also genuinely passionate about the dining experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. I may be bias because a friend of mine was our server, but Ivan deserves to be highlighted for his attention to detail on a busy Saturday night on a holiday weekend. He curated the perfect dinner and from start to finish.
The atmosphere was perfect for both a romantic evening or a gathering with friends. One standout aspect was the martini selection – a perfect complement to the exquisite cuisine. I began the meal with a Limoncello Martini and finished it off with a Chocolate Martini. Both very memorable beverages that I would order again. Ivan was helpful in guiding us to choose the perfect selection based on my beverage preferences.
In conclusion, Bice at the Portofino Hotel is a culinary gem in Orlando. Whether you’re a food enthusiast or someone looking for a memorable dining experience, Bice is a must-visit. I left with a satisfied palate and the desire to return for another delightful meal.
Bice is open daily for dinner starting at 5:30pm. Reservations can be made through OpenTable. Keep in mind that there is a dress code – tanks, flip flops, beachwear, gym attire, clothing with offensive language or images and exposed undergarments are too casual for the restaurant.
