There are two things I love most in the world-Disney and sweets. That’s why I’m so excited to share that The Cake Bake Shop is coming to Walt Disney World! If you’re not familiar with this sweet restaurant (pun intended!), it’s a new table service restaurant and bakery. The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers is expected to open in 2023. It will offer both savory and dessert menus, along with afternoon tea service, in a whimsical atmosphere that complements the magic of the idyllic charm of Disney’s BoardWalk. Sounds magical, right?!
The bakery will delight all guests who come in with a craving for breakfast, cakes, pies, and desserts. The menu, which hasn’t been released for the Disney’s Boardwalk location, will most likely include items such as Truffle Pommes Frites, Pesto Burrata, Charcuterie, salads, quiches, soups, sandwiches, pasta, and so much more. Don’t even get me started on what will be on the dessert menu; there will be so many options you won’t even know where to start!
Afternoon Tea, a beautiful tradition that began in the nineteenth century, will be a one-of-a-kind experience. The Cake Bake Shop honors this tradition by providing guests with a one-of-a-kind experience. They invite their guests to dine in their beautiful shop, sipping tea, eating finger sandwiches, decadent desserts, and feel like royalty. There are a few different options that are offered at the other Cake Bake Shop locations, and we anticipate those options will be similar at this new location.
- AFTERNOON TEA WITH CHAMPAGNE
$80 per person (AFTERNOON TEA WITHOUT CHAMPAGNE-$65 per person)
Includes a flute of French Champagne in addition to the items listed below
Freshly baked scones are served with classic English clotted cream, European salted butter, and Cake Bake Shop private- label jam. You will dine on three varieties of finger sandwiches, including herbed goat cheese with thinly sliced cucumber, egg salad, and our famous chicken salad. You will also be served a variety of decadent mini desserts. Served with our Dammann Frères tea.
- AFTERNOON TEA FOR CHILDREN (for ages 12 & under)
$45 per person
Includes choice of hot chocolate or lemonade
Freshly baked scones are served with classic English clotted cream, European salted butter, and our Cake Bake Shop private-label jam. Kids will delight in dining on a selection of finger sandwiches made of peanut butter & our homemade raspberry jam, thinly sliced French ham & brie and turkey with gruyére cheese. They will also be served a variety of mini decadent desserts and can choose from Dammann Frères tea or our homemade Belgian hot chocolate with freshly whipped cream.
