The second season of Disney Plus’ wildly successful original series, The Mandalorian, is set to return in Fall 2020. Here’s what you can expect for season 2.
Release Date: Initially the Mandalorian Director, Jon Favreau, had taken to his twitter and made the announcement that the series would return in Fall of 2020. Thanks to Disney CEO, Bob Iger, we can confirm that more specifically, Season 2 will return in October 2020. Iger stated the October time frame on a call with investors.
Let’s dive deeper into the October release window. Traditionally, Disney Plus releases new episodes of its shows on Friday. Every new episode of The Mandalorian last year was included in the Friday release schedule. The first Friday in October 2020 is the October 2nd. It’s safe to assume that if the show releases in the beginning of October, we’re looking at the following dates for new episodes: Oct 2, 9, 16, 23, etc.
Cast: Actors Pedro Pascal, Carl Weathers, and Giancarlo Esposito have all discussed in numerous interviews their return to the series. are confirmed cast members for the second season. Jon Favreau, and Carl Wathers will return to their role as Directors of the series.
Will there be new characters? An article on Deadline stated that “insiders have hinted that several established characters from the Skywalker Saga’s feature films mythology will make appearances.”
