More exciting news for Disney California Adventure–the Red Car Trolley will be returning this summer! For all of you Insiders unfamiliar with this fun and convenient mode of transportation at the park, this red vintage trolley takes guests for a scenic ride through Buena Vista Street and Hollywood Land.

While there’s no official date set for the Red Car Trolley to return, summer is just around the corner! The Trolleys will run approximately every 12 minutes between the following locations:
- Buena Vista Street near the Disney California Adventure Park Main Entrance
- Carthay Circle across from Carthay Circle Restaurant
- Hollywood Boulevard near the Disney Animation building
- Sunset Boulevard past the Hyperion Theater
The Red Car Trolleys are modeled after the Pacific Electric Railway trolleys that crisscrossed the Los Angeles area from 1887 until 1961, with more than 1,000 miles of active track. These Trolley’s were first introduced in 2012 as part of a reimagining of the park’s entry promenade with a thematic motif that paid homage to Walt Disney’s 1920s Los Angeles. It’s really such a neat mode of transportation and they immerse guests in the experience of old Los Angeles/Hollywood era.
