Things to Do at Walt Disney World This Fall

Fall is one of our favorite times of year to visit Walt Disney World! Between Halloween festivities, seasonal treats, EPCOT festivals, and special vacation offers, there are so many reasons to plan a Disney getaway this season.

Whether you’re looking for a last-minute fall trip or planning a family vacation later this year, here are some of the experiences you won’t want to miss.

Celebrate Halloween at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Halloween at Magic Kingdom is extra magical thanks to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Held on select nights throughout the Halloween season, this separately ticketed event transforms Magic Kingdom into a family-friendly Halloween celebration after the park closes to regular daytime guests.

Party guests can enjoy special experiences throughout the night, including:

  • Trick-or-treating throughout Magic Kingdom
  • Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade
  • Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks
  • Special character appearances and meet-and-greets
  • Halloween-themed entertainment
  • Select attractions throughout the evening
  • Exclusive food, drinks, and merchandise

Guests are also encouraged to dress up in costume while following Disney’s costume guidelines, making it even more fun for the entire family.

Whether you’re watching the Headless Horseman make his way through Magic Kingdom or filling your trick-or-treat bag with candy, there’s nothing quite like experiencing Halloween at the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Eat Around the World at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival

Come hungry because the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is another reason to plan a fall Disney vacation. This year the festival runs from August 27 through November 21, 2026.

Throughout the festival, guests can make their way around World Showcase while trying dishes and drinks inspired by flavors from around the globe. It’s a fun opportunity to split different items with your family or friends and discover new favorites along the way.

And the fun doesn’t stop with the food!

The Eat to the Beat Concert Series brings live music to EPCOT throughout the festival, giving guests the opportunity to see a variety of performers as part of their park day.

It’s the perfect combination of Disney, food, drinks, and live entertainment.

Try All the Halloween Treats

If there’s one thing Disney does well, it’s seasonal snacks!

Throughout the fall, you’ll find Halloween-inspired treats across Walt Disney World Resort, with plenty of spooky creations available at Magic Kingdom.

From desserts inspired by Disney villains and Haunted Mansion to pumpkin flavors and adorable Mickey-shaped creations, trying the seasonal treats can become an activity all on its own.

Many of these items are only around for a limited time, giving you another reason to visit during the Halloween season.

Kids Can Eat FREE with a Disney Dining Plan

Planning a family vacation? There’s an exciting offer available for families traveling with younger children.

Guests can receive a FREE dining plan for children ages 3 through 9 when purchasing an eligible Walt Disney Travel Company vacation package that includes:

  • A stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel
  • A dining plan for each Guest ages 10 and older

This offer is valid for eligible arrivals in 2026 and can make a Disney vacation an even better value for families.

Availability, dates, and additional terms apply, so working with a travel agent can help you determine whether your vacation qualifies.

Why Book Your Disney Vacation with an Academy Travel Agent?

Planning a Walt Disney World vacation can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re trying to keep track of resorts, tickets, dining plans, special events, promotions, and everything else that goes into creating the perfect trip.

That’s where an Academy Travel agent can help.

Our agents are Disney vacation experts who can help you choose the right resort for your family, find the best available vacation offers, purchase park tickets, add special experiences like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and guide you through the planning process.

Best of all, their planning assistance is complimentary when you book your vacation with Academy Travel.

And if a qualifying Disney promotion becomes available for your eligible vacation, your agent can help determine whether it can be applied to your reservation.

Instead of spending hours trying to figure everything out yourself, you can have an expert helping you every step of the way.

Make This the Fall You Finally Take the Trip

Imagine walking down Main Street surrounded by Mickey pumpkins, trick-or-treating through Magic Kingdom, tasting your way around EPCOT, and ending the night watching Disney fireworks with your family.

Those are the kinds of fall memories you’ll talk about long after the vacation is over.

If you’ve been saying, “Maybe we’ll go to Disney next year,” this might be your sign to stop waiting and start planning.

Let an Academy Travel agent help you turn that “someday” Disney vacation into a trip your family will remember forever.
