In June of last year, we had speculated that a “Princess and the Frog”-themed restaurant could be coming to Disneyland. It looks like our predictions were right on point because it was confirmed at the D23 Expo this weekend! That’s right, Tiana’s Palace Restaurant (just like from the movie!) is coming to New Orleans Square at Disneyland!
We could not be more excited for this new restaurant as the theme will be an absolutely perfect addition to the area, and we also have not gotten a new dining spot at Disneyland in a very long time. D23 didn’t reveal much, only enough to draw excitement from Disney fans all around.
The plaque at the exhibit reads:
With its mouthwatering menu, exceptional entertainment, and warmhearted hospitality, Tiana’s Palace quickly became a treasured meeting place in New Orleans. Princess Tiana used her newfound success to support surrounding neighborhoods, which led to her role as a community leader.
Tiana’s Palace isn’t the only thing to get excited about at Disneyland. Eudora’s Chic Boutique Featuring Tiana’s Gourmet Secrets shop will be coming to New Orleans Square as well! This shop will open very soon, on Sept. 20. Tiana is collaborating with her talented dressmaker mother, Eudora, to open this fantastic little shop, with accessories to create and serve masterful Orleans-style cuisine and more.
Be sure to check in on our Instagram this weekend as I cover the D23 Expo all weekend long, and if you miss out on real-time updates, we have a D23 Highlight Reel you can check out, so you don’t miss a thing!
