TKI’s Top Magic Kingdom Snacks

Lately, it seems like Walt Disney World is producing trendy snacks and treats every couple of days. Although they’re delicious and worthy of an Instagram picture (or 2), we wanted to focus on the snacks and treats that are here to stay for a while. Compiled by our Guest Contributor and fellow Disney Mom, Rachel Stigall, we present to you the top snacks and treats at the Magic Kingdom.

1. Popcorn
At just $2 a refill, popcorn buckets are a must-buy. Hook the bucket on your stroller or backpack and snack all day without fear of your treat melting! Pro-tip: It’s extremely rare that a cast member might question if a bucket is current so be sure to bring your old one and if you do encounter a CM that gives you a hard time about an old bucket, just try another popcorn stand. Popcorn purchased a la carte without a bucket is $5 and generic buckets are under $11 filled!

2. Rocky Road Milkshake

Find this tasty treat at the Golden Oak Outpost in Frontierland. It is $6.99 and worth every single penny. The shake is a good size and is a delicious chocolate with peanuts, whipped cream, and a toasted marshmallow! The Rocky Road Shake is overlooked and it deserves to be popular! The same stand also offers a Dulce de Leche Shake if that’s more your style. And don’t pass up the nuggets and waffle fries- this is the perfect stop for a quick lunch.

3. Key Lime Soft-Serve
The Peter Pan Float made it famous but did you know that you can get the soft-serve from Storybook Treats on its own? It’s just $4.49 and what we especially love is that it’s a great dairy-free option!

4. Vanilla Ice Cream Churro Sandwich
It’s a bit messy but the Churro Ice Cream Sandwich won’t disappoint! The warm, fresh, sugary churro sandwiched around cool vanilla soft-serve is delectable on its own but pair it with a view of the castle or parade and you have yourself the best afternoon ever. This tasty snack-spot also has the hazelnut fruit waffle sandwich, funnel cakes, and breakfast options. The Vanilla Ice Cream Churro Sandwich is $6.99.

Disney Mom Tip: After devouring this delicious treat, you’ll need a restroom to wash your hands and remove any cinnamon deliciousness. The closest restroom area are the Tangled Bathrooms, located between Small World and Memento Mori’s giftshop.

5. Orange Cream
Step aside Dole Whip, the Orange Cream soft-serve is spectacular on a warm day. It’s made with DOLE Whip orange and vanilla soft-serve swirled together to give you the perfect combination of tangy and sweet and at $5.99, it’s one of the best treats in the park.

6. Confectionary Treats
Don’t let this blow your mind but every park does not offer fresh confectionary treats like cookies and cake pops. Magic Kingdom has the Confectionary at the front of Main Street USA and it has Big Top Souvenirs. Some of the treats offered at the confectionaries are great to take home if you can keep them from melting during the day; cookies, cake pops, and rice crispy treats make great to-go items.

7. Tots
These aren’t your average tater tots! You can pop into The Friar’s Nook in Fantasyland for a quick meal of loaded tots. There are several options to choose from including Creamy Bacon Macaroni & Cheese Tots ($10.99) and Loaded Buffalo Chicken Tots ($9.99). The tots are cooked to perfection and somewhat crispy. This makes for a great savory snack/meal between sweet treats!
