This is one of the most iconic spots in the park to get down on one knee, and for good reason! Sleeping Beauty Castle is one of the most iconic castles in the world and it provides for a stunning backdrop for your proposal picture! The great thing about this spot is that proposing in either in daylight, twilight, or nighttime will give you a great picture!

    2. Snow White’s Wishing Well

Snow White’s Wishing Well isn’t just for making wishes, it’s where dreams do come true!  This little hidden gem is one of my favorite places to sit down and relax. The wishing well to the side of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle is an enchanting place. Snow White’s voice sings through the well and there is a small cascading waterfall with statues of the dwarves. This spot is hardly ever crowded and is great for a more intimate, fairytale-like proposal.

    3. Blue Bayou

Blue Bayou in New Orleans Square is one of the most popular restaurants in all of Disneyland. This restaurant is inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride on the waterfront and you will need to make a reservation ahead of time. It’s a dim-lit setting with lanterns and romantic candlelight. Even though you are inside, it feels like you are sitting outdoors under a navy blue night sky with crickets chirping softly and the sounds of the Bayou echoing around you. If you dream of a proposal during an intimate dinner, this is definitely the spot!

4. Storybook Land Canal Boats

This very underrated attraction in Fantasyland is the most romantic at night! You will take a slow journey by boat through a winding canal featuring settings from Disney animated films recreated in miniature. At night everything is lit up which creates the most romantic atmosphere. You pass by the royal city of Agrabah and Cave of Wonders from Aladdin, Prince Eric’s palace and King Triton’s underwater castle from The Little Mermaid, London park from Peter Pan, the French countryside village and mountaintop castle from Cinderella, and so much more. Soft instrumental music escorts you through your journey which will give you and your significant other all the feels!

5. Mark Twain or Sailing Ship Columbia

If you’ve always imagined popping the big question while taking a journey on a grand boat, the Mark Twain or Sailing Ship Columbia are the perfect options! This quiet and slow boat ride through the Rivers of America makes for an intimate setting, especially at sunset. If Disney is good at one thing, it’s creating a believable fictional atmosphere. Whenever I am on these boats, I completely forget that it’s just a ride and I feel like I really am sailing down a river, embarking on a great journey. What better way to start your big adventure?

6. In front of the Millennium Falcon

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California and at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, transports guests to Black Spire Outpost, a village on the planet of Batuu. Guests will discover two signature attractions – Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. (Richard Harbaugh/Disney Parks)

If you and your significant other are big Star Wars fans, what better way to remember one of your biggest moments than in front of the Millennium Falcon itself? Other than providing for a terrific photo backdrop, the ship in itself is jaw-droppingly amazing with its detail and creates for a very unique proposal.

7. Animations Courtyard

The Animation Building in California Adventure Park is one of my most favorite places in all of California Adventure! I could spend hours and hours here sitting on a couch and watching the full half-hour-ish loop of songs, animation and drawings projected in 360 degrees all around me. The room itself is a magical retreat! John Stamos made an impressively romantic proposal to his now wife, Caitlin Stamos, a few years ago in this room. Pictures of his proposal quickly circulated the internet making everyone swoon with jealousy!

8. Paradise Garden Park

Paradise Garden Park in California Adventure is another magical spot that is great for a proposal day or night! This spot overlooks Paradise Bay and offers an especially romantic vibe when the Incredicoaster and Mickey’s Fun Wheel are lit up and reflecting over the water.  World of Color also takes place at Paradise Bay in the evening, so getting down on one knee in front of a vivid veil of mist with astounding spectacles sweeping across the water is sure to take your significant other’s breath away!

9. Napa Rose

Napa Rose is an upscale restaurant at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa that serves California fare and has an extensive wine list. If you want a mini getaway to a nice restaurant right outside the park, you can access this restaurant through a side exit in California Adventure near Grizzly Rapids.  This restaurant is one of my favorites because it is so elegant and the menu is fantastic. Napa Rose offers exceptional ambiance and you don’t even need to have a ticket or pass to the parks to eat here!

10. Carthay Circle Restaurant

If you want your proposal to have a taste of classic Hollywood style, making a reservation at Carthay Circle Restaurant in California Adventure is a great option! Inside this plush Golden Age movie palace, sophisticated cuisine and retro cocktails will sweep you and your significant other right off your feet. They offer a modern, seasonal menu and the design and décor reflects the romance and glamour of that bygone era with rare artifacts and references to the early Disney era.
