Top 3 MUST HAVE snacks at Disneyland/DCA

Since Disneyland closed their gates in March I have had non-stop cravings for Disney food, and I know I am not the only one! There’s nothing in the world like eating a clam chowder bowl while watching the rafts and canoes by Tom Sawyer’s Island or eating an ice cream cone from Ghirardelli while walking over the bridge at the Pacific Wharf.  Here are the top 3 snacks I am going to devour once the parks open back up:

These delightful Mickey Mouse-shaped deep fried doughnuts from Cafe Orleans melt like butter in your mouth.  They are pure powdered sugary-goodness that will make your day ten times better.  Funny thing is, I had my first beignet about a year and a half ago and I’m not quite sure how I managed to be missing out all these years.  Beignets have most certainly jumped up to my #1 favorite snack at Disneyland and that’s right where I am headed once I am back at the park!

Dole Whip Float

Oh, the classic Dole Whip-be still my heart! As we dive into these hot summer months, there have been numerous posts about people trying to find some sort of substitute for Dole Whips while the park has been closed.  Honestly though, nothing beats drinking pineapple juice and eating that deliciously tart soft serve while walking through Adventureland and hearing the tiki drums (while of course chanting “In the tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room”).  The Tropical Hideaway in Adventureland also opened back in December of 2018, and they serve Dole Whips in Pineapple and Orange or Pineapple and Raspberry. This classic treat at both the the Tiki Juice Bar and Tropical Hideaway is definitely calling my name!

Lobster Nachos at Lamplight Lounge

Over in Disney California Adventure there are numerous snacks all over, but my top go-to in this park are the Lobster Nachos at Lamplight Lounge.  I usually sit at the bar overlooking Pixar Pier and I could sit there all day.  These nachos are big enough for two to share, and they are loaded with black beans, cilantro, pico de gallo, Serrano peppers, lobster bits, lobster cheese sauce, and chipotle crema. Pair this up with an Infiniti Fizz drink and you’ll definitely be going “to infinity and beyond”!

What snacks are you most looking forward to when Disneyland and California Adventure open back up?
