Dessert-it’s the best words ever created. For us Disney-foodies, there is nothing better than a full day at the theme parks trying all the delicious food and desserts that Disney has to offer. I personally have to make a list of sweets and desserts that I want to eat before I head into a park for the day because there are just too many options! Because there’s such an overwhelming array to choose from, we’ve compiled a list of our favorite desserts that are a must-have all year round!
Here is a list of our top five favorite desserts at Disneyland, California Adventure, and Downtown Disney:
-
The Crazyshake
Blacktap Craft Burgers in Downtown Disney has the most impressive milkshakes! Black Tap opened last spring and I can hardly believe that I have just recently tried my very first one! They have 5 different shakes to choose from; I’m not sure how you choose just one, so you will have to make a point to go back several times to try them all! I had the Cookies ’n Cream Supreme and let me tell you, my Oreo milkshake was turning heads all around Downtown Disney! If you love Oreo’s this a must-try!
Other flavors include:
- Bam Bam Shake (Fruity Pebbles)-vanilla frosted rim with fruity pebbles topped with a fruity pebbles rice krispy treat, strawberry pop-tart, laffy taffy, whipped cream & a cherry
- The Cookie Shake (Vanilla Cookie Shake)-vanilla frosted rim with cookie crumbles topped with a ‘cookiewich,’crumbled cookies, chocolate chips, whipped cream & chocolate drizzle

2. Nob Hill Chill at Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop

You really can’t go wrong with anything at Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop inside Disney California Adventure. This is the only Ghirardelli shop located in Southern California, so if you want ice cream this is the place to go to get it while you can!
The Nob Hill Chill consists of vanilla ice cream blended with ice, hot fudge, and topped with Ghirardelli mini dark chocolate chips. This is one you definitely won’t want to share!
Their menu also features Frozen Hot Chocolate, sundaes, floats, and more!
3. Funnel Cake Fries

If you love funnel cake these are a must-try! They are very rich so you may want to share (or not!). You can find this dessert at Award Winning Wieners in Hollywood Land inside California Adventure. Their warm funnel cake fries, often topped with lots of yummy sweets like fruity cereal, cookies and cream crumbles, whipped cream, sprinkles, and other fun seasonal toppings. You never know what they might be offering, but you’ll always know it’ll be deliciously sweet!
4. Mickey Beignets at Cafe Orleans

Beignets, the highlight of any trip to New Orleans Square in Disneyland! You can find these deep fried donuts at the Mint Julep Bar or Cafe Orleans. You can choose between a 3-pack and a 6-pack. Be sure you shake that bag so that all the doughnuts are nice and covered with that powered sugar! During the holiday season they also serve up speciality beignets, such as Pumpkin, Peppermint, and Hot Chocolate!
5. Raspberry Macaroon

I personally am not a huge macaroon fan, but I can say that this delectable raspberry macaroon at Jolly Holiday in Disneyland changed my life! What sets it apart from any other macaroon you may ask? They fill this sweet French pastry with raspberry mousse AND raspberries! Trust me, if you try this next time you go you just might be going back for a second one.
