Toy Story Land Construction Continues in Walt Disney World

1

Toy Story Land construction continues in Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World.

Colorful walls featuring Toy Story characters have gone up next to Toy Story Midway Mania, and surrounding buildings have been covered in Plain Jane scrims.

Here are some photos we snapped earlier this week…

When will Toy Story Land open?

While most believe that Toy Story Land will open after Star Wars Land in 2019, the word from some Disney cast members we’ve talked recently to is that Disney is shooting for a 2018 opening. Given the progress on the Slinky Dog Coaster, that might be a possibility. Toy Story Land isn’t nearly as technologically involved as Star Wars Land looks to be, and construction looks like it’s much further along.

Look for an official announcement at the D23 Expo.

I've loved Disney as long as I can remember. As a former newspaper editor, web developer, and Disney comics freelancer, I'm able to combine that experience into writing about Disney online. I'm also the co-host of a Disney fan podcast called 'Pirates & Princesses.' Opinions mine.
