Subtropical Storm Nicole has now turned into a Tropical Storm and is expected to begin strengthening and to be near or at hurricane strength when it makes landfall along Florida’s east coast. WESH 2 meteorologists say Nicole is expected to strengthen over the next couple of days as it works toward Florida. .

Hurricane Nicole will be making Florida landfall late Wednesday or early Thursday, potentially tracking across the state right over Orlando and Central Florida, according to the National Hurricane Center. So how will this affect Walt Disney World? There has been no announcement to cancel Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, but they could make an announcement later today. Here’s where things stand for the Orlando Theme Parks this morning.

Walt Disney World Water Parks and Miniature Golf locations are temporarily closed on Thursday, November 10:
- Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park (Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park is currently closed for the season.)

- Fantasia Gardens
- Fairways Miniature Golf

Disney Hotels
