Now that we’re halfway to Halloween we are all getting frightfully excited for the holiday as last year we didn’t get to celebrate like normal due to the pandemic. We reported last month there still had been no official word on what the event will look like this year, but it looks like this fan-favorite event will be back this year!!

The Universal Orlando Horror Nights website’s official announcement states:

Last year, we made the difficult decision not to hold Halloween Horror Nights. Now we’re back for our 30th year and can’t wait to make you scream. Experience terrifying haunted houses, sinister scare zones, outrageous live entertainment and some of the park’s most exhilarating attractions. You definitely need someone to cling to, someone to hide behind, somebody to panic with. Because just as in horror films where the first to wander off meets a terrible fate, there’s one thing to remember at Halloween Horror Nights: Never go alone.

The event is set to take place on select nights from September 3 to October 31. This year’s event will feature 10 haunted houses, including a “Beetlejuice” house and five scare zones. None of the themes for the ret of the haunted house or scare zones have been announced yet.

Now, Universal is holding online auditions for scare-actors and stilt walkers. According to Spectrum News 13, “For scare-actors, Universal is looking for “all sizes and looks” and previous experience is not required, according to the audition notice. Those interested in auditioning for hybrid stilt walkers will need previous experience and weight can’t exceed 190 pounds.”

Deadlines for submissions is May 9. If you are interested you will need to submit a headshot, resume, full-length photo and an audition video link. Universal states that candidates must be available for all rehearsal dates, starting in August, and all Halloween Horror Nights performance dates. Face masks will be required in addition to costume masks for rehearsal and performance dates.

We can hardly wait for this scream-worthy event this Fall!
