This new policy will go into effect for fully vaccinated individuals, however it will be on the honor system as they will not be checking vaccination cards. This announcement also comes almost two months after the theme park brought back the requirement for all guests and team members when Florida COVID cases were surging as a result of the omicron variant.
Universal Orlando team members who are fully vaccinated will also no longer be required to wear a face mask onstage, backstage, indoors or outdoors. Unvaccinated team members will still be required to wear a mask at all times while on property. Universal has stated this change is based on local trends with COVID-19 and the omicron variant.
There is still no announcement from Disney on any change in their face mask policy as of yet. Stay tuned and continue to follow The Kingdom Insider for the latest Disney and Universal news and updates!
