While it seems like Disney just opened Andy’s Backyard yesterday, Toy Story Land celebrates its first anniversary this week.
I was lucky enough to be invited to explore Toy Story Land before they opened it up to the public (you can read my initial reaction here) and despite a few minor hiccups at the beginning, it’s really come into its own (and thankfully, Disney has added more shade!)
In fact, it’s now kind of hard to remember what Disney’s Hollywood Studios was like before Toy Story Land. (That side of the park was certainly less crowded!)
The cast of Toy Story 4 visited Toy Story Land as part of their promotional tour recently, and the Parks Blog posted a video of the stars impressions of the park…
“Toy Story 4,” stars Tom Hanks and Tim Allen recently visited Toy Story Land and chatted about what it’s like to see their films come to life in a whole new way at the park.
Along with Tom and Tim, other stars of the film including Annie Potts, Keanu Reeves, Christina Hendricks and Tony Hale visited Toy Story Land and also made a special appearance at our Disney Parks Blog fan event.
As regular readers know, Toy Story Land makes guests feel like “honorary toys,” where they play with Woody, Buzz Lightyear and other favorite Toy Story characters in fun attractions throughout Andy’s backyard. Guests can ride Slinky Dog Dash, a multi-launch, family-friendly roller coaster; take a whirl in toy rocket ships in Alien Swirling Saucers; play interactive, 4D midway games in Toy Story Mania!; grab a bite to eat at Woody’s Lunch Box and much more.
