Walt Disney World Shutters All Construction Operations

With Walt Disney World’s parks being temporarily closed, and soon its hotels, Disney fans everywhere have been asking; “What about the construction?”

EPCOT is almost entirely being reimagined, and the Castle is mid-paint job, so what happens next?

President and CEO of the Associated Builders & Contractors Inc.,  Mark Wylie, has said the Walt Disney Company made an order to cease all construction operations at Disney World.

Wylie went on to say that it’s still unknown if known if construction workers will be paid or when construction operations will resume.

Other  Central Florida construction sites will most likely shut down, as well. The CDC recommended March 16 that events of 10 or more people be canceled or postponed.

“They’re going to be closing a lot of construction sites,” Wylie said of the Central Florida region. “It’s already having a terrific impact on the economy.”

This poses the question, will everything we learned about to be happening at EPCOT and the rest of Walt Disney World happen? Do you think there will be cuts on projects once construction resumes?
