What to look forward to at the Beaches & Cream Reopen!

Hooray! The beloved restaurant, Beaches and Cream, located right next to Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort, is due to reopen December 26th and will resume serving lunch and dinner.

If you haven’t heard of the restaurant, then perhaps you’ve heard of the infamous Kitchen Sink dessert- it serves four, but many have tried to brave this solo! Lights and sirens sound as your cast member brings out a miniature (but not so small) Mickey sink bowl with scoops of Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Cookies and Cream, and Mint Chocolate Chips smothered in every topping in the house. In addition to the sundaes and elaborate milk shakes, you’ll find nostalgic diner food off the grill. With the reopening, we are looking forward to many enhancements to this menu making it more versatile and allowing for everyone to get in on the fun with more plant-based offerings and allergy-friendly foods.

The restaurant temporarily closed to undergo refurbishment and will reportedly offer more space and an improved layout to enhance the guest experience. While the décor received a bit of a glow up too, it will stay true to the traditional soda shop scene with a beach side theme to go along with the resort’s ambiance. Similar to the previous lay out, there is table and counter seating available.

According to the Disney Parks Blog, new menu items have been added – appealing to vegetarians, vegans and those avoiding egg and dairy. Check out the descriptions below! Note: More Allergy-friendly options may be available upon request, so always speak with a cast member about your special diet needs.

Adults will still find their soda shop favorites like burgers and fries, chili, patty melts, turkey clubs, old-fashioned sundaes, banana splits, country-fried steak and grilled cheese. Kids can choose from these or healthier options listed below.

If you’re looking to lighten up some favorites from the menu, try the grilled chicken ranch sandwich or turkey club minus the bacon on a multigrain bun. Ask to sub fries for a side salad or split your dish with someone else at your table. Trust me, you’ll definitely want to leave room for dessert!
