We are officially in the middle of summer, and we can feel the heat here in sunny Southern California! Between the humidity and the sun beating down on you, you will need to stay hydrated no matter what summer activity you engage in. If you plan to vacation at Disneyland over the next few months, I highly encourage you to get a hydro flask and put it in your nifty little backpack, stroller, or cute Loungefly backpack you plan on bringing in the parks with you.
For the longest time, I have been bringing a plastic water bottle (I reuse it each time I go to the park); I fill it up with a few ice cubes and fresh cold water. Within an hour or two of being at Disneyland and California Adventure, my water bottle is already lukewarm because it’s so hot out! A hydroflask is insulated and will keep your water cold all day…and mean ALL day! Seriously, these hefty little water bottles are one of the greatest things ever invented, and when you are sweating in the parks and struggling with the heat, you will think it’s the best purchase you’ve ever made. If you are in the park and finally decide to give up on your plastic water bottle and want a hydro flask, Disney stores all around the parks sell these bad boys, and even better, they are Disney-themed! They also come in different sizes, so you can get a smaller one to fit in that mini Loungefly backpack or invest in a big one.
Now I know it sounds like a pain to go to a water fountain to fill a hydro flask up but guess what? The Disney parks actually have water bottle filling stations! How awesome is that?! They are all around the park, and these stations make it super fast and convenient for you to fill up your bottle.

Here is a list of all locations at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure where you can find a filling station:
Disneyland
- near Catfish Cove
- in Red Rose Taverne
- near Autopia
- at Black Spire Outpost Market Restrooms
- at Black Spire Outpost Courtyard Restrooms
- at Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante
- at Galactic Grill
- near Pioneer Mercantile
Disney California Adventure
- at Ancient Sanctum
If you don’t have a water bottle of any kind on you, not to worry! You can request free disposable cups at any nearby restaurant or snack shop at no extra charge. The more you stay hydrated, the more fun you will have at Disneyland this summer and all year round!
