Why Disney’s Pop Century Resort is Our Favorite Value Option at Walt Disney World

Hey Insiders! We just returned home from our most recent trip to Walt Disney World, where we stayed at one of our very favorite Value Resorts! Pop Century is such a great, budget-friendly option for families, friends, and couples alike! Not only does it have a huge food court with many different food options, but it also happens to be one of the Skyliner resorts! Pop shares a Skyliner station with Art of Animation, which guests can use to get to EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios or to explore other resorts on the Skyliner route like Disney’s Riviera Resort and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Bus transportation is available to all other parks & Disney Springs!

The resort building sections are themed to each different decade with such cool art pieces installed on and around the buildings! Our room was in the 1980’s section, which means our building was covered in Pac-Man! Check out some of the fun decade theming like the main “Hippy Dippy” pool which features flower-shaped water jets. For the little ones, a kiddie pool area with a pop-jet water fountain is located nearby. Two more pools, the smaller 1950’s Bowling Pool and the 1990’s Computer Pool, are also on hand for Guests looking to take the pop-culture plunge.

If you’ve ever stayed at an All-Star Resort, the layout and room styles are extremely similar, with different decor! All standard rooms feature two queen beds, one as a pull-down Murphy style, which converts into a table & chairs when retracted into the wall or a King bed upon booking. Guests will also enjoy a coffee station and cooler, an extra large dresser with countertop, and a glass walk-in shower. If you wish to be close to the lobby, or close to the Skyliner route you can make that request when checking in. (requests will be fulfilled based on availability) For reference, a preferred room would be closer to the lobby/quick-service area, while the Skyliner is on the opposite side of the resort!  When staying at All-Star resorts, we ALWAYS request a preferred room to be closer to the lobby & transportation, but here at Pop you may want to rethink where you’d prefer to be based on which transportation method you’ll use most!

We highly recommend Pop Century if you’re looking to book a value resort, it is 100% our favorite of the 4 choices in this category! Check out our Youtube Channel HERE for room and resort tours all over Walt Disney World!
