Taking a vacation to Walt Disney World is always a fabulous idea, but taking a trip during a runDisney event AND Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival is an even better idea! Plus, it’s the 10th anniversary for the Wine & Dine event!
Starting today, March 19 (10 AM EST), guests can register for the runDisney Wine and Dine 10th Anniversary runs! Choose from a 5K, 10K, Half-Marathon, or 2-Course Challenge. Plus this year “all 5K participants will receive a tech shirt, just like our 10K, Half Marathon and Challenge runners.”
Also new for this year is the Disney Fall Feast 5K in Epcot! Here Disney “participants will have the opportunity to run, walk or jog their way around the world for the first time during this event.”
Something else that makes the Wine & Dine special is the Post Race Party!
This event is exclusive to this weekend and this year participants can get in even earlier! After-hours event with access to Global Marketplaces, select attractions and live-entertainment! “Experience all the excitement of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival beginning at 5pm. After-hours fun, including special 10th Anniversary entertainment and rare characters, will begin at 10pm. Participants of the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon and Disney Two Course Challenge automatically receive entry with their registration and additional tickets for friends and family may be purchased starting tomorrow.”
The Races Offered:
The Disney Fall Feast 5K (November 1)will be $85
Disney’s Wine & Dine 10K (November 2)will be $127
Disney’s Wine & Dine Half Marathon (November 3) will be $205
Disney’s 2 Course Challenge (10K & Half Marathon) $347
Disney Kids Races (November 2) $20-$30
Post Race Party (November 3) $85
What To Expect?
runDisney events are a lot of fun! It truly is a positive and uplifting experience that I think everyone should try at least once! The whole family can participate in the 5K and there are special Kids Runs too! If you would like to learn more about what to expect from a runDisney event, check out this article we posted earlier.
Why Stop There?
The fun doesn’t have to end there! During this event, running from October 31st- November 3rd you can take in another event happening at the Walt Disney World Resort! Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) will run until November 1st this year, with parties nights on October 29, 31, and 1st.
MNSSHP is one of my all time favorite events, with special fire works, parade, and a stage show that’s not to be missed. Plus, you get to trick-or-treat at a Disney park. If you book early you can trick-or-tread in the Magic Kingdom ON Halloween. But you need to be quick at that date always sells out early.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge:
During this time Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge will be open! You and your family can go visit The Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, ride the Millennium Falcon, Build your own Droid, and eat and shop in a whole other galaxy!
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and the Disney Skyliner:
Currently we do not have opening dates for either of these, but it’s a possibility one or both may be open by the runDisney event. Since they both are in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, it’s a fairly good chance that you might get to visit these as well. We will keep you posted as we get more information on the opening of these.
How Do I Book?
We recommend booking through Academy Travel (you can fill out the no-obligation quote request form below) because they are one of the top three agencies that are specially earmarked Diamond status. They also are runDisney specialists that can set you up with a package that meets your needs. Using and agency is also helpful because they sometimes get special discounts that you wouldn’t get otherwise, or they can watch for special promotions and get you the best deal. Make sure you include any extras you would like to add, like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets, Dining packages, and more. Or if you just want to buy bibs, they can get them for you.
You can fill out the form below, visit them at MickeyVacations.com for more information, or call them at 609-978-0740.
If you would just rather book your own you can contact Disney or visit the runDisney site to book your bibs.
What are you waiting for?! You can do it!
