I recently hopped on board the Mark Twain Riverboat at Disneyland for a chance to get off my feet since I had been walking around for hours. The Mark Twain is the best attraction for relaxation as you take a slow and steady ride around Tom Sawyer’s Island with a half-mile journey into the heart of the American frontier. You can choose to sit or stand in one of the three stories of the boat and keep an eye out for critters, waterfalls, and a Native American village.
After enjoying my ride, I waited for everyone to get off the boat so I wasn’t stuck in the crowd to get off, and then I noticed that Princess Tiana herself stepped right out in front of me just a few feet away. Naturally, I started to get so excited because I was not expecting her to make an appearance right then and there!
It turns out, Tiana has now started to make appearances on the Mark Twain Riverboat, and she will ride along as guests make their way around the Rivers of America that surround Tom Sawyer’s Island. She is roped off for social distancing, so she does not walk around and you will have to look for her on the second story of the boat. Guests can enjoy her presence while staying socially distanced to interact and take pictures with her—what a fantastic character to add to this already unique and adventurous experience. Be sure to keep an eye out for her next time you take a ride on the Mark Twain at Disneyland Park!
