It’s hard to believe that Disneyland, along with Disneyland Resort Hotels, has been closed for almost a year now. Just like all of you Insiders, I am anxiously awaiting the day I can finally book a room at the hotel and head straight into the park for some much needed fun in the sun and some Disney magic.
The Disneyland Hotel is one of my favorite hotels as it an extension of the parks and has many touches all throughout that brings back all the nostalgia of Disneyland. But did you know about Disneyland Hotel’s magical Signature Suites? Whether you are a pirate or explorer, prince or princess, there is a suite option for everyone! Check out these 5 different suite options at the Disneyland Hotel below. You won’t believe your eyes!
- Adventureland Suite
This 1930’s safari-inspired suite boasts adventurous details for explorers of all ages! According to Disney Parks Blog, the master bedroom “features a safari lodge with a claw-foot bathtub in the living area. In the master bathroom lies a grotto with a foot spa, steam and rain showers, and lighting and sound affects the make you feel like you’re in the rain forest or savanna.” This suite sounds like a great place to be after a day of exploration in the parks!
2. Pirates of the Caribbean Suite
“Yo Ho, Yo Ho a pirates life for me!” The Pirates Suite experience begins as you ring the doorbell, which plays the popular Pirates of the Caribbean tune, and enter the living room. Disney Parks Blog describes this room-“You will find Old World rugs covering dark-stained hardwood floors, with wooden beams overhead. The Spanish colonial-style furnishings could be part of a pirate’s plunder…Down the hall, the Master Bedroom (or Captain’s Quarters) features a vintage canopied four-poster bed with cast iron lighting fixtures. The Master bath compliments the pirate furnishing with some more modern amenities such as a Jacuzzi tub and steam shower.”
3. Big Thunder Suite
Hang onto your hats and glasses, folks, cause this here’s the wildest suite in the wilderness! This suite immerses travelers into accommodations inspired by the beloved ride, Thunder Mountain. Disney Parks Blog describes this suite-“Howling wolves sound to the push of the suite’s doorbell as guests step into a mine shaft foyer inlaid with Fool’s Gold and hear the rumble of a passing runaway mine train…The mine shaft leads into a living and dining area that separates the suite’s two bedrooms. The living area also includes a surround sound-stereo system and displays antique tools once used for mining gold, including an 1850s gold scale and pan.”
4. Fairytale Suite
Dream do come true in the Fairytale Suite at the Disneyland Hotel! Royalty of all ages will enter this suite accompanied by the appearance of Tinker Bell, who illuminates a crystal castle encased in the wall. A marble foyer descends into an enormous bedroom that overlooks the entire resort through floor-to-ceiling windows. According to Disney Parks Blog, “the focal point in the suite’s bathroom is a beautiful hand-cut mosaic of a stylized Sleeping Beauty Castle. The mirror disguises a TV and the double vanity countertop twinkles with shooting stars.” Talk about the royal treatment!
5. Mickey Mouse Penthouse
Hot dog! This might be the coolest suite I’ve seen…but can we expect any less when it’s themed around our favorite Mouse? Disney Parks Blog describes this penthouse-“Classic Mickey Mouse imagery and three-dimensional artwork dominate the design scheme throughout the penthouse. Photos and sketches from the Disney library are prominently displayed, featuring images of Walt and Mickey rarely seen by the public.”
