We recently returned from a trip to The Magic Kingdom and while we were there we got to see the current status of the upcoming Tron Lightcycle Power Run Coaster.
You can see the crane from all around the park.
If you ride the People Mover you can get a good look at the excavation and building going on.
Here we can see where they are working around the now closed Tomorrowland Speedway. The plan is to move the track for the upcoming Tron Coaster.

In these photos we can see the heavy equipment and excavation going on.

It’s hard to make out, but in the distance there is some kind of framework being set.

The Tron Coaster will be located behind Space Mountain and is slated to open for the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World in 2021. Like the version in Shanghai, this coaster will put guests on light cycles for an exciting, high speed adventure!

What do you think? Are you excited for the new Tron Coaster? Comment and let us know!
