Transportation around Walt Disney World can be a nightmare. Today we are going to leave Jack & Sally behind and move like Lightning McQueen (ka-chow) about Walt Disney World Resort. From buses to boats, let’s dive in to ways around Walt Disney World.
Express Transportation
Normally, I wouldn’t recommend using a bus to get around Walt Disney World. Obviously, they are convenient, I’ll give you that. If you want to park your car and not worry about it until you check-out, by all means, have at it. But, I’m here to tell you about Express Transportation.
This transportation is only available to park guests with Park Hopper tickets. It allows you to breeze between all four parks with a nonstop service that will drop off and pick up inside the main gates of each park. That means no waiting to reenter at the gate. So, if you have a dining reservation at another park, that means no more rushing through parks to exit or reentering!
The price (as of right now) is $19 for a single day and $29 for a multi-day ticket (valid for up to 7 consecutive days beginning on the date of purchase).
You can purchase tickets at:
- All four theme park ticket windows and Guest Relations
- Disney Springs ticket window
- Disney Resort hotel concierge locations
- The kiosks at the Express Transportation check-in locations
What’s the word on the [Main] street?
Express Transportation was implemented in January of 2017. It’s been received very well by both seasoned and rookie Walt Disney World visitors. Guests say that the price is very well worth the service. Much less stress and hassle is involved in hopping from park to park. Many people will save at least an hour by not having to exit parks, wait for buses, or going to your car and going back through bag check.
They use the same buses as used in the regular Disney Transportation, so they are handicapable and air conditioned. In busy times of the year, such as holidays or school breaks, you may want to splurge and partake in this transportation hack, you won’t be disappointed.
