According to Disney, the monorails will begin running one hour before Epcot opens, with service ending one hour after the park closes. Although Disney World has quickly gotten back to a sense of normalcy, face masks will still be required on the Monorail and other modes of Disney transportation such as buses and Disney Skyliner (per Spectrum News).
If you are not familiar with the Monorail, here is the general idea of this transportation system per the Disney World website:
Getting where you want to go is easy aboard one of our world-famous monorails!
Simply wait at one of the convenient and well-marked pickup points throughout Walt Disney World Resort. Your ride will then arrive—usually within minutes—ready to transport you to a variety of destinations. Keep in mind that certain destinations are not direct; you may be required to take a connecting mode of transportation to reach your destination.
And remember: If you’re staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you can enjoy convenient access to all monorail lines, right from your Disney Resort hotel.
The Monorail will drop you off right near the entrance of the theme park. It’s really such a convenient and fun way to travel and many Monorail fans will be ecstatic that the Epcot Monorail will be back up and running!
