The long-awaited MagicBand+ is finally making its way into the Disney parks this year! According to the Imagineer experts, we can expect to see the rollout begin by the end of the Summer! So what exactly is MagicBand+? The new and improved band will still aid you with accessing the park, and your resort room, making purchases at merchandise locations, etc., but the magic no longer stops there! With the all-new MagicBand+ features, your band will light up and interact in new & fun ways all around the Disney parks; MagicBand+ will allow you and your family to experience Walt Disney World in a completely different way! These advanced technology bands will interact with nighttime spectacular shows, and all 50th-anniversary character statues, as well as immerse you in new activities, like bounty hunting adventures, around Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge!
Another new and exciting development in the works is called Hey Disney! This new Disney digital voice assistant, developed in partnership with Amazon, will be located in all Walt Disney World AND Disneyland Resort rooms and will function like an Alexa device. Hey Disney will also be made available for purchase within the Alexa Skill Store so that you can engage with Hey Disney on your echo devices at home! With Hey Disney, you can request amenities for your resort room, ask your favorite character to tell you a bedtime story, set an alarm, and even check on the weather for tomorrow’s park day!
