New Years Hours Extended- What does that mean?

“Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks” is a new nighttime spectacular that will debut Nov. 8, 2019, as part of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The holiday extravaganza invites guests to experience the magic of Christmas by painting the sky with fireworks and transforming Cinderella Castle into colorful holiday scenes. We’ve been releasing how Disney over the last week or so has been extending park hours for the holidays. With all that being said, what does that mean for New Years Eve? Magic Kingdom will be open till 11pm on New Years Eve. What might that night look like?

We’ve seen Disney start doing a small pyrotechnics show at the castle which had a very positive reaction park goers. Could it be possible that they might do an extended show? Could there be more smaller shows throughout the night? We know that this is a challenge for Disney to ensure that proper social distancing is in place, but with park attendance capped, it still could be possible.

Will there be more cavalcades? What about a special never before seen cavalcade that is just for New Years Eve? Disney has been great with listening to guests over the past few months with extending park hours and adding back restaurants and special experiences. We know that there will always be magic at Disney, but we also love as things open back up.

Will you be in the parks this holiday season? What about New Years Eve? Is there something you’d like to see if you’re going?

Park hours on December 31, 2020 are as follows-

Magic Kingdom 8am – 11pm

Epcot 10am – 10pm

Hollywood Studios 9am – 9pm

Animal Kingdom 7am – 8pm
