Have you all seen the latest from Disney Cruise Line? We saw this when we updated our app-
-communicate directly with our crew via the live chat feature
-Join a virtual queue to reserve time at the family pool deck area and debark at ports of call
-access all restaurant menus digitally
-download all your onboard transactions
-Participate in the emergency drill by using our app to find your assembly station and check in
Make advanced reservations for complimentary activities 30 days before sailing.
One of these in particular sticks out to us. While we knew that digital menus and virtual mustering drills would we be taking place, we were surprised and are intrigued to find out what it means to reserve time at the family pool means. Will there be a time limit for the family pool time? What if you don’t have a seat, can you still swim in the pool? What if you just wanted to watch one of your favorite movies by the pool but can’t get a time slot?
While everything is constantly changing and with the latest rounds of sailings getting cancelled this morning, we still think we’re getting closer to seeing a Disney cruise ship sail again. The other large cruise lines have announced dates and plans for their return to US sailings, but even those lines still don’t have clear cut information on exact requirements and what restrictions (if any) will be placed on non vaccinated or even vaccinated guests.
At this time, we do not know what can change between now and the first day a Disney cruise will finally set sail, but we really hope we get a return to sailing date soon so we can finally get back on the open waters with Mickey & friends!
