Many months have passed since theme parks and Orlando based attractions began reopening their doors.
COVID-19 has impacted Orlando in a huge way. Somehow companies have managed to make it through. But not without a bit of uncomfortable changes and closures.
Entertainment has seen the brunt of it, however, there has been plenty of successes and good news in that department. For example, The re-vamped Halloween experience last year at Universal Orlando and their very successful Holiday event closing out 2020.
Across the pond, Cirque Du Soleil is finally making a return to Disney Springs in “Drawn To Life,” hopefully sometime in 2021. Other Cirque Du Soleil produced shows are not so lucky. Cirque Du Soleil had a rough road last year. They filed for bankruptcy and went through some re-structuring in hopes of reigniting the company. Even with the optimistic outlook, some shows were bound to be impacted.
The Blue Man Group, which they acquired in 2017, will see one of their popular shows say goodbye for good. This popular addition to Universal Orlando CityWalk saw it’s last performance in 2020 and sadly will not be returning.
In a TWEET On the Blue Man Twitter Page they express their gratitude to the many fans in Orlando. They encourage visiting shows across country still planning to reopen sometime in the future.
What are your thoughts, Insiders? Are you sad to see this show go? Did you ever get to see the Orlando Production while they were here?
