DISNEY LOST A LEGEND LAST WEEK.
Disney Legend, Charles Boyer excepted a “temp” job at Disneyland Resort as a portrait sketch artist in 1960. His temp job then turned into a 39 year career as Disney’s first full time Illustrator. And then, eventually he earned the title of Master Illustrator. He was a man with an incredible career and undeniable talent.
Charles’ passion for drawing artistry began in high school. Throughout his career, Boyer created many pieces that are quite recognizable. Of those works, “Partners,” a 1981 painting of Walt Disney hand in hand with Mickey Mouse and “Triple Self-Portrait,” featuring Walt Disney looking into a mirror, painting a portrait of Mickey Mouse. He later retired in 1999.
